Samia Longchambon has been suffering from "mum guilt" because she has been so busy on 'Coronation Street'.
The 37-year-old actress plays the role of hairdresser Maria Connor on the ITV soap, with her character being at the centre of recent storylines as she has embarked on a relationship with loan shark Gary Windass (Mikey North) and also suffered a miscarriage in the episode that aired on Wednesday's (29.01.20)
However, she admits that the workload has meant that she has been away a lot from her children Freya, 11 and Yves, five, as well as her husband, 'Dancing On Ice' professional Sylvain Longchambon.
In an interview with Inside Soap magazine, Samia said: "I've been suffering with mum guilt while I've been so busy. Mikey North and I have been spending all day, every day together! But my husband Sylvain is great."
Samia and Sylvain met when they were paired together in the 2013 series of 'Dancing On Ice' and Samia is relieved that Sylvain doesn't have a partner in this year's series as it would mean he would have had to relocate to London for four months.
She said: "He's not partnered with a celeb on this show this year - it'd mean being based in London for four months, which we couldn't have done with the kids."
Samia, who has played Maria since 2000, also revealed that she does yoga in her dressing room to help cope with anxiety.
She explained: "When I can, I do yoga in my dressing room - even if it's just for 15 minutes in my lunch hour.
"I don't share my dressing room, so no-one sees me doing the downward dog!"
