Rebecca Adlington has got married.
The Olympic swimmer and her significant other Andy Parsons wed on August 28th at Scarlet Hall in Cheshire, north west England.
She said: "The sun shone, the people we love were there and it was just the best day."
Andy broke down in tears when he saw Rebecca walking down the aisle with her father Steve, and her six-year-old daughter Summer.
The youngster - who Rebecca shares with her ex Harry Needs - was flower girl and ring-bearer on the big day.
Speaking in a joint interview with HELLO! magazine, Andy added: "The second it kicked in, I thought, 'Oh, you've really pushed me to the limit with this,' and I felt my composure start to go.
"Then I saw Summer coming down the aisle with Jo and then Albie being carried by Tom and that really got me.
"So when Becky started walking towards me with her dad, I just lost it. She had the most beautiful smile on her face. She looked incredible."
Following the ceremony, the newlyweds enjoyed a reception with 80 guests.
It comes after the couple welcomed son Albie, six months, into the world in early March.
Rebecca wrote on Instagram at the time: "Welcome to the world Albie Bennett Parsons 4.3.21 (sic)"
The star - who won two gold medals at the 2008 Olympics and two bronze medals at London 2012 - announced in September 2020 that she was expecting her second child.
She wrote: "Andy and I are excited to announce that we’re expecting. Summer can’t wait, she asks everyday to check my belly to see if it’s growing. Going to be a long wait until the end of feb
