Noel Edmonds was asked to do 'Strictly Come Dancing' - but was concerned about the "Strictly curse".
The 69-year-old television presenter is to be a late addition to the 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!' camp this week, but he has admitted the ITV reality show isn't the first he's been asked to do, as he was previously offered a place on BBC dance competition 'Strictly Come Dancing'.
Noel's wife Elizabeth Davies is a "fully-trained dancer" and had originally planned to secretly teach the 'Deal or No Deal' host how to dance, but the pair gave up on the idea when they realised spending time with another professional dancer could put their marriage on the rocks.
He said: "I have been asked to do Strictly. Liz is a fully-trained singer and dancer and a couple of years ago she said, 'Why don't we cheat? Why don't we say you're a novice and I'll teach you before'.
"Then I think there was one of those curse moments and I said to her, 'Are you comfortable with me spending five or six days a week with a half-naked woman draped all over me?' And it's funny how the conversation just changed.
"We've got something very, very special."
The 'Noel's House Party' star doesn't think he'd make a good dancer anyway, regardless of his wife's expert training.
He added: "I would be a cross between Ann Widdecombe and John Sergeant. But in my head I'm Fred Astaire. I don't know why, nothing works - it's hopeless, so I'd never do it."
And whilst Noel might not need to learn how to dance, he has been training for his stint in the jungle, admitting he's been eating critters from his garden in order to prepare his stomach for the Bushtucker trials.
Speaking to The Sun's Bizarre TV Column, he said: "There are now no worms in our garden. [They taste like] exactly what you'd expect."
