Nigel Harman says his character in 'Mount Pleasant' is a neighbour from hell.
The 40-year-old actor and his former 'EastEnders' co-star Samantha Womack - who plays Ronnie Mitchell in the BBC One soap - portray new married couple Bradley and Tanya in the Sky Living show, but the actor admits he wouldn't want the "dodgy" and "dysfunctional" couple moving in as his new neighbours.
When asked if he would be happy if Tanya and Bradley lived next to him, he told BANG Showbiz: "Oh s**t, definitely not! Also the way they've decorated the house is quite bold. There's a lot of unloading things from the back of the car. If I was looking out of the window I'd be going, 'What does he do?' I would go straight through the roof.
"As the series progresses we bring a bit more drama, a little bit of darkness in places, especially Bradley."
Sparks are set to fly after Tanya and Bradley move into a small suburb in Manchester with their daughter Ella (Nicola Millbank) to escape their past, but Samantha hinted it won't be long before their secrets are revealed.
Speaking of the new additions to the cul-de-sac, she explained: "They are mildly dysfunctional in a good way but it's exciting dysfunction and lots of sexual tension.
"There is an undercurrent of darkness about them. They're bright, bubbly and veracious on the surface but they go on a dark journey. They are slightly bi-polar."
Nigel added: "We are an absolutely loving family with an absolutely dodgy background, but all in all you don't want to go round for dinner."
'Mount Pleasant' is on Wednesday nights at 9pm on Sky Living.
