Following the huge success of the first series of Mr Selfridge comes the second series of the hit show, confirmed for broadcast from Sunday, January 19 at 9pm on ITV.
Based upon the life of American entrepreneur Harry Gordon Selfridge, Jeremy Piven brings the flamboyant character truly to life, and the story picks up in 1914, as the world-renowned store on London's Oxford Street is celebrating 5 years of trading.
Rumours are abound of Europe going to war, and so it's up to Harry to prepare his staff for the treacherous times ahead, but they're not the only people who need somebody to lean on.
More than ever, Harry's in need of comfort from his wife Rose (Frances O'Connor), but his constant bed-hopping while being in the relationship has drawn a wedge between the couple that seems incapable of being healed, and somebody else has their eye on Mrs Selfridge.
