Mike Hassini has been suspended from 'The Only Way Is Essex' following a drink driving incident.
The reality TV star has been taken off the show "until further notice" after he was allegedly stopped by police.
Speaking to The Mirror Online, an ITV spokesman said: "In view of the charges brought against him, Mike Hassini has been suspended from TOWIE until further notice."
Mike spent the night in a cell after he was stopped by police, and could now face a driving ban and a fine of up to £2,500 on top of a possible jail sentence.
ITV bosses have confirmed that Mike will not be involved in the production shoots or any promotional content ahead of the new series, which airs in September.
However, Mike is not the first star to find himself banned from the set of 'The Only Way Is Essex'. The show has also had to suspend Mario Falcone, Dan Osborne and James Argent in past years.
The news comes after Mike recently got involved with drama surrounding co-star Megan McKenna, giving his own take on the rumours that surrounded the beauty after her Marbella getaway. Megan's boyfriend Pete Wicks came to her defence, leading to a huge row between the two boys.
Speaking to Mike on the show at the time, Pete said: "You're a b***h and that's the end of it. Everybody knows you ain't got no nuts."
