HBO series True Detective was a huge hit with its first season, but the anthology series took a beating from critics and fans when it returned for a second, taking on a whole new story with a new cast including the likes of Colin Farrell, Rachel McAdams and Vince Vaughn.
Since the rapid U-turn, there has been no news on a third season, but Matthew McConaughey, who starred as Rust Cohle in the first season, has revealed he's open to filming more, and he's even had chats with creator Nic Pizzolatto about it.
McConaughey explained on The Rich Eisen Show: "I miss Rust Cohle, man. I miss watching him on Sunday nights. I miss watching True Detective on Sunday nights.
"I was a happy man when we made that for six months, because I was on my own island.
"I've talked to Nic about it - it would have to be the right context."
With HBO this week announcing the cancellation of Martin Scorsese series Vinyl, the network could be looking for something big to replace it. Could a third season of True Detective be the show to do so?
