Matt Richardson has been booted off 'Dancing On Ice'.
The 29-year-old comedian - who was brought in to replace Rufus Hound on the ITV skating show - found himself out of the competition on Sunday (07.02.21) after him and partner Vicky Ogden lost in the skate off, with Colin Jackson and Klabera Komini making it into next week.
Speaking about his brief time on the show, Matt said: "I'm quite relieved. This is the most horrifying and terrifying and fear-inducing thing I've ever done. I don't know if I could have done it for another week. The whole experience has been amazing. My training to skate, being a stand in - it was amazing because everyone was doing the TV thing and I didn't have to do any of that - so I was very happy. It's been amazing. Vicky has been fantastic."
And asked if he would continue skating, he quipped: "I can't wait until I've got a mulled wine at Christmas and going around the ice rink being that guy that thinks he can skate."
All four judges - Ashley Banjo, John Barrowman, Christopher Dean and Jayne Torvill - chose to save Colin and Klabera but Jayne admitted it was nice to see Matt skate twice.
Giving his verdict, Ashley told the two dancing duos: First thing, Colin and Klabera, you had a great skate. I really enjoyed that. For you, Matt and Vicky, I think you handled it really well. But based on the quality of the skate and the content, I'm saving Colin and Klabera."
Whilst John added: "You guys were all fighting for your position tonight. It was a valiant effort but the couple I am going to put through - I have to save Colin and Klabera."
Chris said: "Matt and Vicky, first of all, congratulations for doing this and being here and being a part of this and hats off to you. Based on this performance, I'm saving Colin and Klabera."
'Dancing On Ice' returns next Sunday (14.02.21) for a love-themed show.
