Laila Morse performed a strip tease while sat in a wheelchair on ITV's 'The Real Full Monty'.
The ‘EastEnders’ star - who appears as ‘Big' Mo Harris in the BBC One soap - sprained her ankle before the charity show was filmed, but she fought her way to be involved with the programme, and it resulted in her baring all from the walking aid, despite concerns from host Ashley Banjo.
The 76-year-old actress told The Sun newspaper's TV Biz column: “I sprained my ankle the morning before we filmed it. I went over on it during the final rehearsal, so I couldn’t do the dancing.
“I couldn’t really stand on it, so Ashley said I couldn’t take part. I said, ‘But that’s what I’ve come to do. I’ll find some way to get on that stage.' "
The soap superstar loved the idea of adorning her wheelchair with “sparkly stuff” so she could join celebs Duncan James, Christine McGuinness, Coleen Nolan and Colin Jackson - who joined 'Strictly' professionals Ola and James Jordan - on stage at Blackpool for the strip tease, which will air on 13 and 14 December.
The former 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me out Of Here!' star said: “So they came up with the idea of a wheelchair and decorated it with sparkly stuff. So I went on stage, I just couldn’t dance.
“When it came to the strip I sat there in my outfit with my feathers in the wheelchair and took my top off!”
Laila called the final product “fabulous” and confessed on how “choked” it made her.
She said: “Everyone was cheering and screaming and shouting, it was fabulous. I was choked — it made me cry. It was wonderful and made me feel good that I’d done it. I take my clothes off when I’m on holiday, so I’m not bothered about showing anything off.”
