Doctor Who has this season been a hugely mixed bag of treats. The moment many of us have all been waiting for however, is the return of John Simm as The Master. It’s now been confirmed that he’ll be making his comeback in next week’s finale episode (the first of two). You can check out the first trailer for the two-parter below:
Closing off the trailer with the ominous line, “give us a kiss”, his appearance comes after we’ve seen Missy (Michelle Gomez) take to the forefront as the Doctor (Peter Capaldi) battles off against the Mondasian Cybermen, alongside his trustworthy companion Bill (Pearl Mackie).
In the trailer we also see Bill asking the Doctor to not get her killed, but when she finds herself with a gun in her face, we could see one of the short companion’s stories of all time. Will she be leaving the show before we’ve had a proper chance to get to know her?
Doctor Who continues next Saturday, June 24 before the 10th series’ official conclusion the week after on BBC One.
