Last night's Strictly Come Dancing saw Mark Benton eliminated from the competition.
The 48-year-old actor and his professional partner Iveta Lukosiute lost out in a dance-off against 'Hollyoaks' star Ashley Taylor Dawson, 31, and his professional partner Ola Jordan, but admitted he didn't think he proved any competition for his remaining fellow contestants.
He said: "I feel fine actually because if I'm brutally honest I think it was right for me to go.
"If I'd have stayed and Ashley had gone out it would've been wrong. All the guys are all so good - obviously I have my knee problems and stuff - so I think it was the right time because I couldn't really compete."
Mark also revealed he is thrilled with the effect the show's gruelling rehearsals have had on his body.
He said: "You lose weight without thinking about it because you are working every day.
"I am guessing it is about three stone I have lost now and what better way to do it?
"I am looking forward to the final because we will all be back together and then after Christmas we have the tour which is going to be an awesome.
"It is a pressurised thing on the Saturdays with the results show. Sundays you enjoy it and then you are back in. It will be nice to have some time to reflect and enjoy it now."
Model and presenter Abbey Clancy was awarded the first perfect score of the series on Saturday night (30.11.13) but 'Coronation Street' star Natalie Gumede is still the hot favourite to win this year's competition.
