Maisie Smith has struggled with her confidence since leaving 'EastEnders'.
The 21-year-old actress is best-known for playing Tiffany Butcher in the BBC soap, and she admits that her post-'EastEnders' life hasn't been straightforward.
She shared: "I was on 'EastEnders' for 13 years, which was all I can remember. I sometimes think I’m more comfortable being Tiffany than I am being Maisie.
"The good thing about being an actress is that I know how to look confident. In reality, I have no idea what I'm doing."
Despite this, Maisie insists there's "a lot more" to her than people imagine.
She said on 'Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins': "I have no idea how people see me because I just assume you just take one look at me and think, 'Oh cocky little Essex girl', which is true, but there's a lot more to me that people don't know."
Maisie also revealed that her confidence issues have even caused her to struggle with her speaking.
The actress explained: "I've struggled sort of speaking. And I've had, not a stutter, but I just could go blank and words wouldn't come out and I think the more that happened, the more people would just sort of talk over me."
Meanwhile, Maisie previously claimed that she's learned to accept her perceived flaws.
The former soap star took to Instagram to discuss her body insecurities.
Alongside a series of photos of herself, Maisie wrote: "The past few years I’ve been VERY insecure about my legs. I covered them up as much possible. No matter how many people told me “cellulite is natural.. everyone has it..” I still hated them.
"It’s taken me a while but I’m starting to accept these aspects of myself that I’ve always seen as “flaws”. I wore gym shorts (out of the house) for the FIRST time a couple of months ago n I was so so proud of myself. wish I could I say that I LOVE my body but I’m still working on that (sic)"
