Jordan North was left "panicking" on a flight when he was told one of the plane's engines might be on fire.
The BBC Radio 1 DJ recently jetted off from Gatwick Airport on a Spanish airline when the plane began "veering to the left" and the captain warned passengers an emergency landing might be necessary.
He said: "We started veering to the left and the captain came on and said we had to do an emergency landing!"
The 32-year-old star admits he was starting to get worried and then asked a steward what the issue was, only to be told one of the engines could've caught fire.
He explained: "I said to the steward, ‘Is everything OK?’ and you could tell I was panicking, and he said, 'There may be fire on left engine.'
"So I was like, ‘What, do I need to ring my mum?’ and he said, ‘No, these things happen, you want complimentary water?’ I was like, ‘Water? Give me vodka!' "
Fortunately for Jordan and his fellow passengers, the issue wasn't a fire.
He is quoted by The Sun newspaper's TV Biz column as saying: "It was a technical issue. It wasn’t a fire."
This comes after it was recently revealed Jordan is to host a new physical challenge series, 'Warrior Island', for BBC Three.
The show will see eight young people cut off from the modern world in a month-long programme, in an effort to improve their mental and physical health.
He said: "Nearly two years ago, in front of the nation, I was sick on the edge of a cliff and everything changed forever - from there I pushed myself out of my comfort zone and I haven’t looked back since. Which is why I love this show. We're pushing eight young people well beyond their comfort zones to become stronger in body and mind to help turn their lives around."
Each of the eight contestants will be paired with experts in a specific of fitness and health - known as Warriors - who will mentor and push them every step of the way.
The 10-part series is set to air on BBC Three and iPlayer in early 2023.
