John Bishop broke wind during an emotional 'Doctor Who' scene.
The 54-year-old comedian - who has joined the cast as companion Dan Lewis for the upcoming 13th series - admitted he had the "most embarrassing moment" of his career while he was filming with fellow newcomer Jacob Anderson.
Speaking during a pre-filmed panel at Comic-Con this week, he said: "Without revealing too much, we had to do this moment where we were in the green studio and we had to be standing against an opponent in a forceful manner.
"Jacob is a young, fit man. So I walked up and I had to deliver my line and I walked on, 10 steps and something left me more than words.
"I thought I would plough on and look straight in the camera, because nobody knows and nobody laughed."
However, John admitted he soon realised he hadn't got away with the awkward moment.
He added: "Jacob stood next to me and said, 'I heard that'. Imagine standing next to an action hero like him and farting?
"So there may be one episode where it sounds like a bomb went off, but it is not a bomb."
John has praised Jodie Whittaker - who is returning as the Doctor - for "setting the tone" on set and creating a "fun" environment.
The Liverpudlian actor previously revealed he got told off by BBC bosses after accidentally revealing details about his role in an online workshop for drama students.
He explained: "One of the questions was, 'Can you tell us anything about your character in Doctor Who? Where does he come from?'
"I went, 'Well where do you think he comes from? Have a guess!' I'm not Tom Cruise, I can act as long as the character happens to look and sound a lot like me.
"So, I just mentioned that the character was from Liverpool which then, somewhere on a 'Doctor Who' website, someone picked it up - 'There's a new character and he's from Liverpool, the story's based in Liverpool'.
"Then the BBC phoned me up and said, 'You've broken the cardinal sin, you've told them something about Doctor Who'. And I went, 'I haven't told them anything! Anybody who looks at me knows he's from Liverpool, let's be honest!' "
