The 34-year-old fitness guru, who is also known as The Body Coach, became the nation's PE teacher during the first lockdown last year by putting on free sessions on YouTube - which were watched by millions - and they are to return on January 11th.

In a video shared on his Twitter account, he said: "Hello to all the parents and teachers out there.

"This is a message to let you know that as of Monday 11 January I am bringing PE with Joe back three days a week live on The Body Coach TV.

"I am hoping three days is going to help young children and families get through this difficult time when schools are closed, to bring some energy, to change their mood, lift their spirits and their mental health.

"And to kick their day off with something positive."

Joe revealed he will be putting the sessions on three days a week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

He tweeted: "PE with Joe is back Monday 11th January at 9am(UK time). Please Retweet and let as many parents and schools as possible know. The sessions will be live Mon, Wed & Fri’s at 9am on YouTube Television (sic)"

In August, Joe admitted he felt "lost and confused" without his daily PE lessons, which came to an end in July last year after he had raised more than £580,000 for the NHS through the classes.

He said: "I'm halfway through my workout, I can't explain how much better I feel emotionally and mentally. I've been having a flat few days. I was thinking about 'PE with Joe' and the whole impact of what that was doing.

"I had so much purpose.

"I was driven and focused and I knew what I was doing - making people feel good. That's when I'm at my happiest. Now that's gone I feel confused and lost, but I know I'm going to regain my energy and get myself into a positive mindset."

And in September, Joe admitted he was "really struggling" with his mental health amid the pandemic.

In a video captioned "Struggling with my Mental health: You are not alone (sic)", he said: "I'm hoping that by sharing how I'm feeling and struggling, really struggling, there could be someone out there right now who is feeling the same and I want you to know that's OK.

"I've just finished watching the press conference with Boris Johnson around the new Covid restrictions. Now this is really starting to take effect on my mental health, it's bringing me down. I'm finding it confusing, I can't comprehend where the end is.

"I'm finding it hard to be optimistic. That feeling of powerlessness, confusion, it's a hard feeling to deal with. With the realisation that this isn't just going to go away tomorrow, it's really getting me down."
