JK Rowling's crime novels will be coming to television via the BBC, it's been revealed, in a new series called the Cormoran Strike Mysteries.
The Cuckoo's Calling and follow-up The Silkworm were written under the pseudonym Robert Galbraith, and the third book in the series Career of Evil is expected in the near future.
All three of the novels will be adapted for television and are expected to broadcast at some point this autumn on BBC One, with no actors officially attacked to the series just yet.
Following the story of an army veteran who lost a leg during the Afghan War, Cormoran Strike is now a private eye in London who works tirelessly on cases alongside secretary Robin Venetia Ellacott.
Sarah Phelps is screenwriter on the debut project The Cuckoo's Calling following her work on Casual Vacancy for BBC One earlier this year, with Spooks and Fortitude's Ben Richards taking on The Silkworm.
More information including dates, cast lists and the third story are expected in the coming weeks and months.
