Bonnie Wright's husband had never seen 'Harry Potter' when they met.
The 33-year-old actress - who tied the knot with Andrew Lococo in 2022 and went on to have son Elio, 12 months, with him - started her career as a child when she was cast as Ginny Weasley in the blockbuster adaptations of J.K. Rowling's magical book series alongside Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint but revealed that her significant other has still not read the books and still hasn't seen all of the films.
She told Us Weekly: "He hadn’t actually seen any of the films before we met, so we haven’t finished all of them. We did it a bit out of order when, randomly, we went once with all our family to one of those city concerts they do where you listen to the score while you watch it.
"So, he’d only got up to, like, 'Goblet of Fire', and then we suddenly went to watch 'Deathly Hallows Part 1', and I was like, ‘You have missed a vital section!’ So we need to go back a bit. But he’s never read the books, so I hope he can be part of it with our son. I’m sure he will."
The 'Who Killed Nelson Nutmeg?' star is keen to introduce her son to the fantasy series when he is old enough and will be trying to encourage him to read as she still speaks to teachers today who are so grateful for the 'Harry Potter' books because of how they impacted literacy.
She said: "I really hope he loves the world, and I meet so many kids now who are six years old, seven years old — not obviously alive at all when this was going on — and they’re just in the world, they love it,
"I think it’s just so special that so many new generations of fans will love it and find something in the story that resonates with them. And I speak to so many parents when it comes to reading that or teachers that are like, ‘Oh, my gosh, we’re so grateful to Harry Potter because it genuinely has inspired more reading, literacy, everything."
