Soap legend Nick Pickard is reportedly in talks for 'I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!'.
The 48-year-old actor - who is the longest-serving cast member on 'Hollyoaks', having held the role of Tony Hutchinson since the very first episode in 1995 - is said to have been among the last additions asked to appear on the ITV reality TV jungle show.
A source told The Sun: "Tony from Hollyoaks - as Nick will always happily be known as - is an absolute soap legend and a huge signing for I'm A Celeb.
"Soap stars always do brilliantly on the show because they come with a loyal following and they don't come more down-to-earth and likeable than Nick.
"He would be fantastic and make great telly if he makes the final cut. Of course Hollyoaks was recently moved online by Channel 4 so it comes at a helpful time for the soap too, helping introduce that younger online audience to Nick via I'm A Celeb's huge reach."
Other stars in the frame for this year's series - which is set to return to screens next month - include Fred Siriex, Flavor Flav, and Danielle Harold, though no one is confirmed yet.
Broadcaster Gyles Brandeth was approached by bosses just last week.
He told 'This Morning': "I was asked again this year. What is interesting is that they're obviously talking to people very last minute because I was asked again only this week.
"So maybe somebody dropped out and they were desperate. They drop you in and you walk a long that little bridge."
