The cast and crew of 'Hollyoaks' have been left "heartbroken" following the death of 108-year-old Jack Reynolds.
The OAP became the world's oldest soap actor last year when he landed a cameo in the Channel 4 show aged 107, but he sadly passed away on Saturday (25.04.20) following a fall in December.
A message on Hollyoaks' Instagram account read: "We're heartbroken to hear about the loss of Jack Reynolds, who has passed away at 108 years old. He truly was an amazing person and had everyone smiling behind the scenes when he joined us last year to become the oldest man to appear in a soap. May your accomplishments never be forgotten, Jack. Rest in peace... (sic)"
Several cast members paid tribute to Jack, including Annie Wallace, who plays Sally St. Claire.
She wrote: "Lovely to meet him and his family at last year's Soap Awards.. RIP Jack x (sic)"
Jacob Roberts (Damon Kinsella) shared: "RIP Jack"
Following Jack's 2019 'Oaks' cameo, Nikki Sanderson (Maxine Minniver) admitted she would love Jack to have become a regular cast member.
She said: "I think that it's brilliant at 107 years old what that man is doing. If he wants to join us more often then he's more than welcome.
"It was absolutely amazing and an honour to meet him.
"To meet someone like himself who is the good old age of 107, to hear what's he's been doing with all the world records he's been breaking. He's such an inspirational and wonderful man."
Jack's cameo on the soap saw him comforting Nikki's alter ego Maxine outside a hospital.
She explained: "Maxine is stood outside the hospital crying and Jack comes past her and sees her crying.
"He offers her some wise words of wisdom from someone who has lived a very long plentiful life."
