Happy Valley will return for a third series it's been seemingly confirmed by creator Sally Wainwright, but it could be a while before the show returns to the small screen because of her packed schedule.

Speaking on BBC Breakfast, she explained: "I'm so busy with other projects at the moment - I haven't got time to sit down and come up with the stories.
"What I'd hate to do is do a third series and people say it wasn't as good. So I want time to go away and really come up with stories that I think are going to make a third series."
The show's second series came to a close on BBC One last night (March 15), and saw almost eight million viewers tune in, making it the network's most successful Tuesday night drama in two years.
In the finale, Sarah Lancashire's character Catherine Cawood seemed to look at her grandson Ryan with a hint of regret. Her extremely complicated relationship with him looks to be going through the motions and will only get murkier as new episodes are released.
The final episode also saw rapist and murderer Tommy Lee Royce (James Norton) handed his prison mail, in which he received a letter his son Ryan had sent to him secretly.
Despite criticism for poor sound quality and mumbling, the show has received critical acclaim once more and looks likely to pick up awards as it did with its first series.
