Grodd will be making his big return during the third season of The Flash, producer Andrew Kreisberg confirmed at the TCA press tour.

He revealed: "We're going to be doing a two-part episode that takes place in Gorilla City", a tropical oasis that's hidden away from mankind and is inhabited by various hyper-intelligent apes.
In the comic books universe, those apes gained their powers after an alien spaceship crashed into their home, but when Grodd arrived he murdered the ruling king and took over the position.
Using neo-magnetic radiation, Grodd then forced the other gorillas in the city to follow him, with Flash eventually discovering the land before Grodd executed some big plans to take over the world.
Through the television series so far, we've seen Grodd's story change. Used as a test subject in General Wade Eiling's experiments, it's anybody's guess as to exactly how things will pan out when Gorilla City is explored on the small screen.
During the panel, it was also confirmed that Dr. Alchemy and Savitar would be this season's leading Big Bads, the latter of whom is also a Speedster.
The Flash season 3 premieres on The CW in the US on Tuesday, October 4 at 8pm.
