'Gangs of London' has been forced to pause filming after a crew member tested positive for COVID-19.
The action–crime drama - which stars the likes of Joe Cole and Sope Dirisu - is now on a ten-day break from filming because of the positive case, and members of the cast and crew have been forced into self-isolation.
A spokesperson for Sky told RadioTimes.com: "Throughout this time, the safety of our colleagues and customers remains our number one priority. 'Gangs of London' season two production has temporarily been suspended with cast and crew now self-isolating. We will return to production as soon as it is safe to do so."
Sky explained that only the people who have been in close contact with the individual have been asked to self-isolate.
Meanwhile, Joe Cole - who plays Sean Wallace, the son of a drug kingpin, in the show - previously revealed that he took inspiration from boxing promoter Eddie Hearn ahead of playing the part for the first time.
The actor explained that he was interested to see how Eddie was following in the footsteps of his dad Barry Hearn, who was a major figure in British boxing in the 80s and 90s.
He explained: "I was quite interested in Barry Hearn’s son Eddie.
"They’re not gangsters but you get a definite sense of him trying to step out of his father’s shadow and I find those kind of people fascinating. In most storytelling in the gangster genre the son grows up to be his father, and that’s the case in [Gangs of London] but I think Sean is conflicted."
