Following its network move from CBS to The CW, there's more big news for fans of DC's Supergirl television series, with casting calls being put out for five major roles coming to the small screen when the show returns.
TVLine broke the news that Lex Luthor's sister Lena, who'll be between 25 and 35, will be making her mark in a lead role, arriving in town "to get out from under the shadow of her infamous brother". Described as sexy, smart and "determined to get what she wants", exactly what she wants is still to be determined.
The second series regular is called Nick Farrow, a "brash leading man who butts heads with Kara at CatCo". As the "son of a famous reporter", he's "looking to make a name for himself in the news world, but the question of whether he can leave behind his former selfish and hedonistic ways will constantly arise. In hanging out with Kara, the hero in Nick might finally come out."
A "diabolical female leader of Project Cadmus" is listed as a recurring role in The Doctor, who "uses her surgical skills to implant prisoners with alien technology", whilst "veteran journalist" Snapper Carr and "out and proud detective" Maggie complete the recurring roles lineup.
The five new faces join that of Superman, who will also be properly introduced to the series when it returns for its second season.
