Fern Britton has undergone shoulder replacement surgery after months of pain.
The 66-year-old TV presenter - who revealed last she she has been struggling with arthritis and needed surgery to "sort it out" - went under the knife this week and updated fans on her health.
Alongside a hospital selfie with her arm in a sling, she wrote on Instagram: "Morning all!! shoulder replacement done and a success.
"I can’t thank the staff at #StMichaels #NHS hospital in Hayle, cornwall, enough. Such care and kindness.
"Back home, Barbara is in her doctors uniform and attending to me constantly... Mostly telling me it’s time for her breakfast, elevenses, lunch, tea, supper.. (sic)"
Fern also thanked her friends - as well as daughters Grace and Winnie - for helping her as she recovers.
She continued: "Thank you to my friends Jane, Two Cups, Double C and my lovely girls Grace and Winnie . I’m very lucky!"
The former 'This Morning' star joked her social media followers will next see her when she's learned to put on her makeup with her left hand.
She quipped: "See you soon .. when I can train my left hand to put a bit of lippy on without looking like The joker.
"And if you are in similar situation I send my love."
Fern - who has twins Harry and Jack, 29, and Grace, 26, with first husband Clive Jones and daughter Winnie, 22, with ex Phil Vickery - had been waiting for months to have the operation.
Last year, she told Woman and Home magazine: "I've got arthritis settling in everywhere. My knee is really bad and so is my shoulder.
"I'm waiting on a list for a surgeon to sort it out. It's very boring when your body starts to be in pain all the time."
