Fearne Cotton still has no idea why 'Top of the Pops' was axed in 2006.
The 39-year-old TV star hosted the iconic show alongside Reggie Yates from 2003 until it was taken off air, and Fearne has now admitted she can't fathom why BBC bosses opted to scrap the programme.
Fearne - who has Rex, seven, and Honey, five, with her husband Jesse Wood - shared: "After the show had finished I sort of campaigned: 'Please can we bring it back?' Why is there no decent music TV? I just don't understand it.
"I know times change and things move on, but I do feel bereft over that one still. It was such a big part of my week and something I would never miss."
Fearne loved working on the show and thinks it's a "huge shame" that the BBC opted to axe it.
She said on 'That Gaby Roslin' podcast: "It was really special as a music fan to watch all these different bands. I still feel it's a huge shame. It was just bonkers and so magical."
Fearne previously admitted to feeling insecure around "gorgeous popstars" on the show.
She explained: "When I was doing 'Top of the Pops' in the 1990s there was a plethora of gorgeous young pop stars around, from Samantha Mumba to Steps, and they all looked like these confident, luminous beings to me, with flat stomachs and stylists and make-up artists."
Fearne also confessed to feeling "a step behind everyone else".
She said: "I never felt I was exuding that kind of confidence or ability. Even later, I always felt a step behind everyone else."
