Fargo season two is to take place in 1979, following Lou Solverson.
Noah Hawley and Warren Littlefield stated at the renewal press tour panel that none of the original castmembers are likely to feature, as it'll be a completely different story.
Season one saw many references made to Lou's past, and he himself - played by Keith Carradine - recalled memories to those around him which we may now see brought to life.
"Lou fought in Vietnam, came home and thought he'd left the war behind and here it is. It's domestic now." said Hawley.
Season two begins shooting in January 2015, and is slated to premiere at the earliest in autumn 2015.
