'Emmerdale' star Claire King has admitted Kim Tate will be "absolutely elated" about Gabby Thomas' pregnancy.

Rosie Bentham's character is set to find out she's expecting Jamie Tate's (Alexander Lincoln) son, and his mother Kim sees this as a chance to get Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley) out of the picture.
She told Digital Spy: "I think Kim would be absolutely elated, actually. That's partly because she prefers Gabby to Dawn. She can't stand Dawn.
"Also, it's another part of the dynasty. It's another grandchild for Kim Tate, that she can mould and manipulate into the Tate form.
"Kim will be quite pleased about this. She wants to get rid of Dawn, so this is perfect."
The 59-year-old actress revealed her soap alter ego already has a plan to get Gabby into Home Farm, despite her son not being interested in her or the baby.
Claire added: "Kim gives her the chance to move in, decorate her bedroom, have friends round, whatever she wants. That's Kim pulling the strings of Gabby.
"She's hoping this will get rid of Dawn, but they are thwarted a couple of times in the break-up. So Kim has to push herself to do something not very nice, but that's coming up in the future.
"That's what Kim wants – she wants Gabby in the house, she wants the grandchild, she wants Dawn out of the way and she ideally wants Jamie and Gabby together."
And Kim is willing to manipulate her own son to get exactly what she wants from the situation as she acts with her dynasty as her main motivation in a delicate situation.
Claire explained: "Kim tries to make Jamie think that he has to be with Gabby for the sake of the empire."
