NOTE: Spoilers for The Flash
Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) is a man who faces much drama and chaos in his life, and all of that looks set to continue as Eddie Thawne (Rick Cosnett) will be making his return to The Flash in the show's second season, after he killed himself to save others in the show's first season finale.
According to TVLine, Barry will continue to travel through time, going back to a point when Eddie was still alive before his sacrifice.
An official synopsis for the episode, titled 'Flash Back', has been released, and reads: "After the shocking revelation that Zoom is Jay Garrick, Barry is more determined than ever to get back to Earth-2 to stop Zoom forever. Desperate to find a way to increase his speed, Barry decides to travel back in time and masquerade as his earlier self in order to get his arch-nemesis, Dr. Harrison Wells/Eobard Thawne, to teach him how to run faster. However, things don't go as planned and Barry is stunned to face familiar foe Hartley Rathaway (guest star Andy Mientus), as well as old friend Eddie Thawne (guest star Rick Cosnett). Iris makes peace with her past in order to embrace her future."
This means that reports earlier in the year that villainous Pied Piper would be making a return are also true, with Rathaway stepping into the mantle once more.
The Flash returns in the US on March 22 on The CW, with this episode airing the week after on March 29.
