Former 'EastEnders' star Jacqueline Jossa is to appear on 'All Star Musicals'.
The 29-year-old actress - who is best known for playing Lauren Branning in the BBC One soap - will be getting a taste of London's West End as she has been signed up to compete on two special episodes of the ITV programme which will air over Christmas and New Year.
Jaqueline - who is married to former 'TOWIE' star Dan Osbourne - is getting a second chance to appear on stage, after her debut theatre role in ‘A Christmas Carol’ was cancelled last year due to COVID-19.
She was set to play Emily at The Dominion Theatre in 2020, but following the decision to put London into Tier Three, the show was shut down 24 hours after the opening performance.
A source told The Sun newspaper's TV Biz column: "Jacqueline has a belting voice and she loves singing and it's always been her first love.
“There are very few credible shows in which actresses can show off their voice on primetime telly these days, so when ITV asked if she wanted to do 'All Star Musicals' she jumped at the chance. She blew everyone away.”
She will complete alongside five other celebs on the West End stage, where they will have to sing classic theatre songs. Judging the performances will be Elaine Paige, Samantha Barks and Trevor Dion Nicholas and the show is hosted by 'Doctor Who' actor John Barrowman.
The mum-of-two spent eight years on 'EastEnders' before she decided to quit in 2018. She went on to become Queen of the Jungle when she won 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!' in 2019.
Jacqueline will be joined on the programme by Fern Britton, Ben Miller and Anita Rani among others.
