Chris Chibnall says 'Doctor Who' will return in 2021.
The BBC sci-fi favourite's current showrunner has confirmed he will be at the helm for a third time next year, and he already has some huge plans for series 13.
He told Entertainment Weekly: "I do know I'm coming back for a third season. Yeah, absolutely. We are already planning the stories.
"Once you see the end of this series, you'll realise there are some stories we're already setting in train for next series.
"We have very big, ambitious plans for our third series together... It will be next year sometime, hopefully, unless my holiday goes on for a really long time, which is always tempting."
His comments come after Jodie Whittaker revealed she'll be reprising the role of the titular Time Lord for another run.
She said: "I'm doing another season. That might be a massive exclusive that I'm not supposed to say, but it's unhelpful for me to say [I don't know] because it would be a massive lie!
"I absolutely adore it. At some point, these shoes are going to be handed on, but it's not yet. I'm clinging on tight!"
However, her co-star Mandip Gill insisted she still doesn't know her character Yaz's own fate, and admitted there's always a chance she won't survive past the end of the current season.
She explained: "I'd love to [come back]. But agian, because of the secrecy no one ever knows what's going on.
"I'm just happy to have been part of two [series], and to have been able to explore Yaz. But I would love to be part of it."
