Derren Brown is returning to screens to mark 20 years on Channel 4 with a spooky live stunt.
The 49-year-old illusionist has landed his own two-hour special on the channel to celebrate two decades entertaining on the broadcaster and he's got a major trick up his sleeve for one lucky viewer.
The public will be involved by choosing between five stunts - Russian Roulette, The Heist, Hero at 30,000ft, Apocalypse and Pushed to the Edge - with Derren picking the winning moment at the end of the show.
He will reveal all the "incredible stories" and "meticulous logistics" behind his stunts, as he looks back at his biggest TV moments.
He said: "20 years! That was quick.
"And what a treat to be given this night by the broadcaster that have been so very supportive and nurturing over that time. I can't imagine two decades with anyone else. It's going to be a fun night."
Phil Harris, Head of Entertainment at Channel 4 added: "There are very few people within the entertainment industry capable of raising the exhilaration stakes in quite the way Derren does and with him at the helm, this very special celebration should be no different."
Derren made his debut appearance on Channel 4 with 'Derren Brown: Mind Control' in 2000 and he has so far filmed six shows and 13 specials.
Some of his biggest stunts he's managed to pull off over the years include making someone believe they were a zombie and hypnotising a man with a flying phobia into flying a fake aircraft.
Meanwhile, Derren's live stage show 'Showman' was due to hit theatres this year, but due to the Covid-19 pandemic, it will now take place in 2021.
He said: "All I can reveal at this point is that the show will ultimately be about you, the audience member, because that's what I find most interesting. There are places I'd like to take you where we haven't been before. I always aim to have it deliver more than you'd expect. I'm excited to be at the starting point of that process. Getting it on the road will be my favourite part of the year."
'Derren Brown, 20 Years of Mind Control: Live; will air on Channel 4 in the summer.
