The former 'The Only Way is Essex' star insisted neither he nor his kids - Ella, six, and two-year-old Mia, who he shares with Jacqueline Jossa, and Teddy, seven, from a previous relationship - will be getting jabbed, and he admitted some of the negative reaction he received was making him "nervous".

Speaking on his Instagram Stories, he said: "I can't take this. You lot are making me nervous.

"I've had so many messages from people going mad at me for talking bad about the vaccine.

"You lot are crazy. It's my opinion, chill.

"It's not dangerous enough to be forcing an injection on the world. That to me is suspect...

"Can we talk about something else now. I ain't looking to get jumped by the Covid f****** army."

It came after Dan received "thousands" of messages about children receiving a COVID jab, after the Pfizer vaccine was approved for 12 to 15 year olds in the UK.

Dan - who flew back from Portugal on the weekend - said: "I've said it from day one. People are going to have a go at me, but the whole thing is about money. The whole damn thing.

I've had hundreds, maybe thousands of messages about kids getting the vaccination.

"Personally that s*** isn't even going in me - never mind my kids.

"People do your research, it's not good. That's just my opinion. It's my Instagram - I should be able to say what I want."

In February, Dan paid tribute to his nan after she died of coronavirus.

He wrote: "Happy Birthday to my Nan , can't believe after all these years we lost you to this virus. It's only been a few days & granddad misses you like mad. Please give him strength. We love you Nan. (sic)"
