Craig Charles is stepping down from 'The Gadget Show'.
The 'Red Dwarf' actor has confirmed he won't be returning for more episodes of the Channel 5 series - which he hosts alongside Jon Bentley, Ortis Deley and Georgie Barrat - after five years on the show.
He told The Sun newspaper's TV Biz column: "I don't think I'll co-present any more Gadget Shows, so that's gone...
"I like new adventures - I'm always looking forward rather than back."
The 58-year-old star - who previously played LLoyd Mullaney in 'Coronation Street' for a decade until his exit in 2015 - admitted his brother's death in 2014 made him strive for something different from his career.
He explained: "When I was in the jungle [for 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!'] by brother died and it prompted me to leave 'Coronation Street' because it made me realise there were things I wanted to do - which I didn't have time for while I was in 'Corrie' - before it was too late."
Craig is focused on "new challenges" with a number of projects in the pipeline, including Channel 4 game show 'Moneybags'.
He described the programme as an "exciting" prospect with £1 million up for grabs, and it comes after he's turned down plenty of other offers over the years.
He said: "People have come to me with quizzes and game shows for so many years but none of them suited my personality."
Last year was a hectic time, which a Sky History programme about UFOs as well as his weekend DJ gigs, 'The Gadget Show', 'Moneybags' and his since-axed Radio 2 Saturday night show.
Craig added: "I should slow down."
