Courtney Mitchell made a shock return to 'EastEnders' last night (04.08.16).
The daughter of Grant (Ross Kemp) and the late Tiffany Mitchell (Martine McCutcheon) is now played by Alice Nokes and returned amid a crisis for her infamous Walford family as she turned up to meet Sharon Mitchell (Letitia Dean) in place of her father.
With Sharon expecting to meet Grant in a café she found out mischievous Courtney had been using her dad's phone with the teen keen to know what all the fuss was about surrounding Ben Mitchell's (Harry Reid) disappearance.
But she clearly got suspicious after her chat with Sharon that her father may be keeping something from her.
The episode concluded with Sharon coming face-to-face with Grant once again outside Walford Police Station.
Courtney was last seen in Albert Square in 2006 when she was portrayed by Megan Jossa, the cousin of Jacqueline Jossa who plays Lauren Branning in the show.
In her storyline she fled Walford for Portugal to live with Grant, who recently returned for late mother Peggy Mitchell's (Barbara Windsor) funeral.
Alice has revealed her alter-ego is "feisty" and likes to party, but also has a "vulnerable" side to her.
She said: "I think Courtney is a very similar character to myself. She's quite feisty and definitely has the Mitchell side in her.
"She's not a mean girl, she's not malicious. She's very kind-hearted and very much like her mum, Tiffany.
"I think she's vulnerable but in an endearing way. However, Courtney is confident and likes a party!"
