Clara Amfo found filming 'Top of the Pops' in an empty studio to be "surreal".
The 36-year-old star hosts the chart show alongside Fearne Cotton, and admitted that making the programme amid the coronavirus pandemic was very strange.
Clara explained: "It was quite surreal.
"Actually being able to do the show, without an audience, it was a challenge but I think we made it work.
"Me and Fearne, we did our links, we had chats with some of the artists.
"And it just almost made you concentrate on the performance."
The 'Top Of The Pops' Christmas Special is set to air on Christmas Day and will feature performances from the likes of Clean Bandit, Mabel, Becky Hill and Jamie Cullum.
Although Clara missed the presence of an audience, she still found filming the programme to be "beautiful".
She told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "The audience was missed but a beautiful show has been made."
Meanwhile, Clara previously credited one of her former bosses for changing her life.
The BBC Radio 1 presenter shared: "The one person who I know was instrumental in my career, and I wouldn't be here without was - and he's still one of my best friends to this day - my old boss, a guy called Simon Long.
"He was the deputy programme controller at a station I used to work at and he was the first person to really take a chance on me and take time to nurture me. He just had this lovely confidence in me that I didn't have in myself to be honest and he'd push me and tell me off when things didn't go well but would praise me when things were right.
"He took a chance on me and if it wasn't for meeting him, I know I wouldn't be doing my job today."
