Claire King was planning for her latest 'Emmerdale' stint to be a "nice little retirement job".
But the 58-year-old actress admitted it "hasn't really worked out that way" because her soap super-bitch character Kim Tate has been heavily involved in the goings on in the Dales of late.
She said: "I’m not sure I’ll still be here in 20 years.
"It’s a nice thought, but I think they would have to wheel me on set.
"I’ve been fortunate to come back to 'Emmerdale'.
"My return to the show was meant to be a nice little retirement job for me.
"But because Kim is at the centre of everything, it hasn’t really worked out that way."
Claire also admitted that while 'Emmerdale' stars have been working extra hard to get the show on air amid the coronavirus restrictions, there is no chance of a pay rise.
She added to The Sun on Sunday newspaper: "If the nurses can’t get one, we certainly can’t.
"The bosses are now trying to recoup the money because it’s been tough.
"Advertising revenue has gone down. So we are all tightening our belts at the moment."
Claire - who has also starred in 'Bad Girls' and 'Coronation Street' - previously admitted she is determined to live her life to the full and insisted she won't take anything for granted.
She explained: "You have to enjoy life as much as possible. Be nice to other people. Live life, enjoy life and treat others with respect. And don't take life for granted because something like that can happen at any time to any one of us."
