Claire King is thrilled she doesn't have to shoot sex scenes due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The 58-year-old actress - who plays Kim Tate in 'Emmerdale' - has shot a host of steamy sex scenes over the years, but she's "glad" that coronavirus restrictions are currently stopping her from getting into bed with any of her co-stars.
Claire - whose character is embarking on an affair with Will Taylor, played by Dean Andrews - said: "There is talk of her and Will but thankfully bed scenes are forbidden because of social distancing. I got out of that one.
"I’m glad I don’t have to do bed scenes. It was bad enough when I was 25 but now? No!
"I’m in my late fifties and would like a few less fat rolls and fewer lines. So let’s not. Let’s use our imagination instead."
Claire returned to 'Emmerdale' in 2019 after a 20-year absence from the show.
The actress is loving her time at Home Farm once again, describing Kim as "one of the best soap characters on TV".
She told The Sun newspaper: "Kim is one of the best soap characters on TV and I am so lucky to play her.
"She is always in trouble, always meddling."
Claire looks at Kim as a "Marmite" character, meaning she divides opinion among fans of the ITV show.
But she insists that her character's dramatic storylines reflect real "village life".
The actress - who has also starred in 'Bad Girls' and 'Coronation Street' - said: "Kim is like Marmite - you love her or hate her. Or you love to hate her! But I go with anything I am given. It’s only a soap and it reflects village life."
