Chris Evans is launching a charity album.
The Virgin Radio breakfast show host has announced the CarFest Supergroup Live! album to mark a decade of his hit festival CarFest.
The record features tracks from CarFest's resident Supergroup which includes a roster of performers such as Roger Daltrey, The Feeling, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Ricky Wilson, KT Tunstall, Sharlene Spiteri, Gary Kemp and comic Rob Brydon.
The Feeling's Richard Jones – who formed the supergroup - has put the album together.
Chris told The Sun newspaper's Bizarre column: "This finished double album is testament to not only the artists and performers, but to all our visitors and supporters, who can certainly be heard on the album.
"I know they're going to love it... and until we meet in 2021 for our 10th birthday, I hope this will keep their memories fresh!"
Chris was delighted that Ellis-Bextor has been lined up for the album.
The 54-year-old DJ said: "I love (Sophie's) voice because I love the way she doesn't sing American. And there's something really, well, I will use the word, sexy about that. And she's lovely in person."
Profits from the album – which is out on December 18 and is also available on CD – will go to CarFest's Charity partners BBC Children in Need, Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust, Rainbow Trust, Starlight Children's Foundation and Teenage Cancer Trust.
This year's CarFest was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic but Chris has confirmed that next year's Camp CarFest North and South and all-new edition Retro CarFest will go ahead next summer with virus precautions in place.
