The second season of True Detective is now just around the corner, and with it come big expectations following a highly critically acclaimed first season that pushed the boundaries of the crime thriller genre. As an anthology series, True Detective has just one constant - its creator Nic Pizzolatto - and so with the new season we should find out just how much of the first season's charm came from the creator, and how much will be lost when stars Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson as well as director Cary Fukanaga aren't involved.

HBO are keeping up their end of the bargain no matter how things turn out, with some dark and eerie marketing that's now seen the release of motion posters carrying the all new tagline, 'We Get The World We Deserve'. Transportation is clearly going to be a major part of this year's storyline as seen in the posters, and pointed out by Pizzolatto himself when he talked about the season, saying it was about: "hard women, bad men and the secret occult history of the United States transportation system."

This time round we'll see Colin Farrell, Rachel McAdams, Taylor Kitsch, Kelly Reilly and Vince Vaughn in the major roles, and though getting our hopes so high for a season as good as the first can be dangerous, the premiere on HBO in America on June 21 at 10pm cannot come soon enough. Check out the all-new motion posters below.
