Jordan North has urged viewers of 'Big Brother' to "be kind" to the contestants on social media.
The 33-year-old presenter admitted that he is "looking forward" to seeing how the reboot of the 2000s reality show pans out but reminded fans that during its heyday, there was no social media and is hoping that people will be "kind" to those starring on the series now.
He told Metro.co.uk: "I don’t think it’ll be censored. I just hope when it comes out – because when it was popular there wasn’t social media as there is today – I just hope that people are kind on social media. Don’t forget, if you don’t like someone that’s fair enough but these people have got feelings at the end of the day, so you just hope they don’t get it too bad on social media. But I’m looking forward to seeing it, it should be good!"
His comments come just hours after presenters AJ Odudo and Will Best themselves urged viewers to remember that the housemates are "real people" and pleaded with them to think about what they write about them online.
Speaking in a video posted to Instagram, AJ said: "Please do remember that all of our housemates are real people with their real lives. If you wouldn’t say anything to them in person, please watch out what you say to them online. Let’s make this the most positive series yet and give all of the housemates the respect that you would wish for if you were a housemate too. Is that a deal?"
Will added: "We all just want to be fair and kind to everybody, and that way we can all enjoy this series together and we can support our housemates on the show and beyond
