Andy Whyment has finished in second place on 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!'.
The 38-year-old actor came within inches of lifting the crown on the ITV reality show, but ultimately finished as the runner up during Sunday's (08.12.19) live final, when Jacqueline Jossa was named this year's Queen of the Jungle.
But Andy wasn't disheartened by the news, as he said: "Jack is an amazing woman and I hope she gets everything she deserves in life, because she's amazing. I'm so chuffed for her, you know what I mean? We had a mad experience in there, it was something I'll never ever forget."
The 'Coronation Street' star was a late addition to the jungle, but got stuck in with his fellow camp mates, and said he found the experience "harder" than he imagined it would be.
Speaking before the result was announced, he said: "[It's been] surreal, honestly. I'm getting emotional. You know how much of a big fan I am of this show, and to get to do it ... to get to the final [is amazing].
"It was a lot harder than I thought. When you watch it at home you're only seeing an hour or an hour and a half, so you don't realise how much hard work there is to go into just keeping the camp running. When there's 12 of you in there, running up and down that creek with bottles of water and filling it up to boil it, you don't realise how much work goes in."
And taking part in the show meant "so much" to Andy, as he wanted people to get to know the real him, and not just his character on TV.
"That's what means so much. I've done 'Dancing on Ice' and things like that, but this is 24 hours a day. So to know that people have got behind me and voted for Andy after playing the character for so long ... Whenever I walk down the street it's 'There's Kirk, there's Kirk'. So if I get people saying 'There's Andy' it's just going to be ... it's going to feel amazing. Just to know that people got behind Andy Whyment rather than Kirk, it feels amazing. I just want to say thank you so much to everyone that's voted for me."
