The Flash is dealing with a lot of time travel, alternate universes and personalities at the moment through its second season, and it's now been revealed in a report from TVLine that Andy Mientus will be reprising his role as metahuman Pied Piper in the show, in an upcoming episode.

Escaping the Pipeline after Cisco let him go free in the first season, the villain returns to cause chaos with his former colleagues in the 17th episode of the season, when Flash revisits an earlier timeline.
This could mean that Barry Allen will be coming face to face with Pied Piper at the beginning the character's career as a villain, but details surrounding the plot are being kept tightly underwraps.
It could also result in The Flash returning to the timeline that he erased the year before, which he had to do in order to save Cisco's life after Harrison Wells killed him.
The Flash continues Tuesdays, 8pm EST on The CW in the US, and returns to the UK at the beginning of March on Sky1.
