Adam Collard has been "physically attacked" on a night out.
The 'Love Island' star was enjoying an evening out in his native Newcastle with his girlfriend Paige Thorne - who he fell for during the ITV2 dating show - and some friends when a large group of guys started "aggressively harassing them", and Adam and his pals are said to have been "extremely shaken up" by the alleged incident.
A spokesman for Adam said: "Adam was trying to enjoy a quiet night in his hometown with friends when a large group of men began aggressively harassing them.
"Despite several attempts to diffuse the situation, the men continued to become more aggressive and started physically attacking Adam.
"Understandably, Adam and his friends were extremely shaken up by the situation and felt it was best to leave and we’re safely escorted by the security team outside. No further action has been taken."
Police were not called to the bar regarding the incident.
An onlooker has also claimed someone started to "rip" Adam's top off.
They told The Sun newspaper: "It happened shortly after midnight. Adam and Paige were just on a night, it wasn’t an official appearance or anything.
“Everyone was trying to crowd him and I think they were trying to crowd Paige and Adam wasn’t happy at all which was understandable.
"Then people started to rip his top off and it all kicked off.
"It’s no surprise he wanted to defend himself and was obviously looking out for Paige as well.
"They were just out a drink together with friends and they didn’t need that hassle.
“The bouncers came over and it finally calmed down and Adam and Paige left after that."
Paige recently revealed Adam - who first starred on 'Love Island' in 2018 - has been helping her to deal with her new-found fame.
She said: "It is really overwhelming but Adam's been absolutely great because he's done it before, so he's been taking it under my wing and helping me out.
"It's been good. I'm glad I've got him to help me out because otherwise I'd be a headless chicken. I've really enjoyed everything so far."
Despite this, Paige recently insisted she'll soon return to her job as a paramedic.
She said: "I actually saw an ambulance the other day with sirens on. I had like serious FOMO [fear of missing out]!
"I was like, 'Get me my ambulance back!' So I'm going to go back into that a little bit and just see what opportunities come from that.
"It's one of those things - I genuinely just love my job. So why wouldn't I want to go back to it? I really enjoyed it. But I'll do other things alongside it."
