After a report from CNN made the world go crazy, claiming that Marge and Homer Simpson would be breaking up in brand new episodes of The Simpsons, the wife and husband themselves have spoken out to dispel the rumours and show everybody just how close they'll always be.
In a hilarious clip, the pair can be seen struggling to keep it together even for the 90 seconds they're in front of the camera - it's a brilliant slice of advertising genius and ends with the reminder than brand new episodes will air on Sundays in America on FOX at 8/7c.
Causing a stir amongst the fan community, Al Jean responded on Twitter to one who asked if the divorce storyline had been cancelled or he was initially misquoted, but then cast further mystery on the whole situation.
This isn't the first time the pair have been close to calling it a day. One notable episode in season 8 saw Homer file for divorce, eventually separating from Marge before remarrying her at the end of the episode.
Considering that this happened quite a few years back now, it's not impossible to imagine that the storyline is going to be recycled, changed slightly and redone.
The Simpsons season 27 will premiere this Fall on FOX in the U.S.
