Derren Brown is turning his hand to the criminal world, hoping to steal from a world-renowned art collector - Ivan Massow.
The master illusionist isn't going it alone this time, and has recruited a group of old-age pensioners to get the job done.
The catch here is that Derren has already told Massow that he plans to steal a painting. He's even told him which painting they'll be targeting, and at what time it's going to happen.
Despite this, he still wages a bet that the painting can be taken right from under the collector's nose in what could be the biggest stunt Derren's attempted to-date.
“This has been nerve-wracking for me and my team, leaving such an extraordinary task entirely in the hands of a group of contributors to pull off. The idea was to use the fact that the elderly tend to be treated as invisible as a strength. There’s only so much training you can give, so many worst-case scenarios you can try to cover. I’m used to feeling in control with these shows – but not with this one. It’s a big caper: fun, edge-of-seat, hopefully taking you to unexpected places.” Derren said about the show.
