The hotel is fairly easy to find and looks a very appealing place to stay from the road at the front, with a large domed entrance and private parking, staying in the middle of a city does not seem so off-putting if your hotels looks as the The Copthone does.
Although the parking was secure, it was lacking given the number of rooms the hotels boasts; however we were still able to find a spot. The check in was effortless, the polite staff member took my debit card details for security and advised us what time breakfast was as well as giving us the option to have room service for our evening meal.
The room was a little worn, however had everything one could need for comfortable night. There was a 36 inch screen TV and tea and coffee making facilities with a fully stocked minibar.
The room had a reading area as well as a dressing table, with a hairdryer, trouser press and extra pillows. It was of medium size, with a small bathroom, which supplied shampoo, conditioner, a shower cap and soap and there were extra towels should you need them.
The hotel itself is of central location in Salford, with good views of Salford Quays from the rear bedrooms and dining area. It was a mere 10 minutes’ drive from the Trafford Centre and a ten minute drive from the city centre.
The hotel is appropriate for stag dos, hen dos, business and has conference facilities. There was a wedding being hosted there the night we stayed, which did not affect our stay in any way.
The breakfast was of high quality, with a full buffet of cooked items as well as continental options which was enjoyable mostly because of the views while we ate over the Quays.
Overall this is the perfect place to stay if you are looking for a city stay without the hassle of the busy centre. With beautiful views by day and night, it draws out the most scenic and quiet parts of the city making it suitable for a good rest if you are on holiday or staying over for work.
