Travelling further away from home can often mean you get the benefit of warm sun, sandy beaches and crystal clear oceans and you can probably extend your love day into a love week.
Although it might me a bit more hassle and you might have to tighten the purse strings on other luxuries, why not spoil yourselves and find a nice little secluded cove to flaunt your itsy bitsy bikini. After all, when better to enjoy sex on the beach than on Valentines Day? Or any other cocktail which might take your fancy; screaming orgasm anyone?
Bora Bora, French Polynesia
Bora Bora is certainly one of the most romantic destinations in the World and therefore one of my preferred locations for a Valentines Day holiday, mainly because this quaint little island shies away from high-rise hotels and major shopping centers, preferring to withhold its reputation as a very small and intimate destination for the truly romantic.
This island is home to a beautiful lagoon resembling an artistâs palette of blues and greens complete with a dramatic view of Mount Otemanu, and an abundance of colorful fish and manta rays seek safety in the emerald waters. You can even get up close and personal with them should the mood take you, in a Shark and Ray Feeding Excursion and what better turn on can there be than watching the love of your life feed a shark? For the more faint hearted among us though, you can always try your hand at snorkeling, jet skiing or canoeing in the vast lagoon.
One of the most romantic things about Bora Bora is actually the accommodation; the signature accommodations of French Polynesia consist of thatched-roof, overwater bungalows which gives you access to the lagoon from your own private deck.
Dubai
In first place is hot, sunny and luxurious Dubai. With a wide choice of deluxe hotels available the destination also gives holidaymakers keen on tax-free shopping a chance to make big savings on top-end products.
For those of you hoping to be offered a gleaming rock over a romantic dinner, your man is in luck as, Dubai has a large range of jewelers specialising in diamonds. Could he really need a bigger hint?
Seychelles
You may think that the tropical paradise of the Seychelles means beautiful ladies in tiny bikinis, which I guess is not far off the mark, but it also combines lots of sun, beaches and swimming for a romantic valentines break.
With plenty of secluded, intimate beachside retreats to explore, you have no fear of your man looking at other ladies in next to nothing, and even better you have no fear in being caught in next to nothing as you and your man get cosy on the hot sands.
Montego Bay, Jamaica
If you and your man are in need of a major thaw after months of raw British weather, Montego Bay is sure to heat up your body and your relationship. With long days allowing you to spend your time golfing, swimming or simply soaking up the sun
Of course your evenings can be spent enjoying the sunsets, dining along the waterâs edge or relaxing at the world-class resorts. Sometimes the best gift is when nobody has to lift a finger and relaxation is the only task of the trip. Montego Bay just might be your perfect getaway.
Reykjavik, Iceland
If you want stunning scenery and donât mind leaving cold Britain for even colder pastures, youâre in for a real treat: The worldâs most northerly capital city, and one of the smallest, Reykjavik is clean, crisp and refreshingly different. Famous for its populationâs enthusiastic enjoyment of a good night out and an exciting and vibrant cultural life, Reykjavikâs inhabitants are as dramatic and unique as the scenery that surrounds them.
For couples who love sightseeing but donât want to spend the day travelling to and from interesting sites, this compact city is easy to investigate and a perfect base to explore some of Icelandâs natural wonders. But whatever you decide do whilst youâre there, make sure you don't miss taking a dip in the Blue Lagoon and indulging in a treatment or a massage in its warm blue waters or taking a super jeep trip out to see the Northern Lights.
If tranquil blue scenery, the choice of fantastic nightlife, cosy nights in AND some of the most spectacular scenery in the world doesnât tempt you, I honestly donât know what will.
