The Icelandic Wolf Fish (served with chips!) is among a selection of exotic delicacies that appear on Heston Blumenthal’s latest and most intriguing menu to date, which focuses on sustainable seafood.

The vicious piranha like speciality, which is found in Icelandic waters and tastes just like sole, was a favourite of the Vikings and makes up part of Heston’s main course – Wolf Fish Cheeks and Saucy Seagull.

Aired on Channel 4 on Friday 14 January, this fish themed dinner was a one off special episode of Feast, which sees Heston visiting a number of destinations to find alternative options to seafood favourites, all in a bid to save dwindling fish stocks.

Sea cucumber tea, trout candy floss, edible coral reef and chocolate starfish are other fascinating suggestions that will make an appearance on the show.

To try Wolf Fish in its home country, travellers can fly to Reykjavik with Iceland Express.
