Hungry rockers can be thankful that the town of Donnington has never let go of its rock history, and this year celebrates the 30th year of Donnington staging traditional rock festivals - after showcasing Monsters of Rock from 1980 - 1996 and Ozzfest in 2002.
Download returns for it's eighth year this year at the original home of rock with the event running between the 11th-14th June. The line up is yet to be announced but rumour's have surfaced that ACDC will be headlining the first night of the event.
Sonisphere
The Sonisphere Festival is a festival that takes place all over Europe, expanding the opportunity for you to travel to somewhere exciting between the 16th June and the 8th August... or you could just stay at home.
The Sonisphere tour of 2010 is the biggest yet - travelling to 11 locations around Europe - Poland, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Greece, Romania, Spain, Turkey, Sweden, Finland and the UK.
Acts have been announced for each location, with the prominent and confirmed headliners being Iron Maiden, Metallica and Rammstein.
Rock Werchter
A festival held annually in a town called Werchter in Belgium, Roch Werchter is one of the top five rock festivals in all of Europe and has received the Arthur award for best festival in the world at the International Live Music Conference for four years running.
At 169€ for the four days and an extra 17€ for camping it works out as the best priced festival and best value for money, what are you waiting for?
Sziget Festival
We know what you're thinking... how the bloodyhell do you say that? The Hugarian festival is pronounced, "see-get," and takes place in Budapest, it is possibly the largest rock music and cultural festival in Europe boasting 1000 performers over it's week long annual life span.
It contains many other different genres of music and has travellers from all corners of the world checking out its music vocabulary. If you want to be a part of the fest make sure you keep the second week of August free in 2010.
