Every girl needs pampering from time to time, and what better way to do it than in what could be the most delicious spa I have ever seen in my life?

Nestled in the beautiful village of Linthwaite, near Huddersfield, is the UK’s first Eco Spa; The Titanic. And despite being named after a ship that found itself subject of a frosty demise, the Titanic Spa is as warm and welcoming as they come.

The spa offers signature treatments from beauty giants Elemis and Decleor as well as Carita, Jessica and Redken, and if that isn’t enough, you can even get your hair done by the uber-trendy Erica in 3 Degrees hair salon. Woo!

Complete with a stunning relaxation lounge, gym and salt regulated swimming pool (clad with mood lighting) the spa offers everything a woman needs to make herself feel a million dollars this spring, and that’s before you start forking out the cash for a treatment or two or swanning around the magnificent Heat Experience.

This Heat Experience really puts the Bee in the spa’s bonnet and no words can do it the justice it deserves; but for you I’ll try my best; This magnificence sensory journey that induces deep relaxation as you go from the various ‘themed’ rooms; taking your body temperate from warm in the sauna and Crystal Steam Bath to the freezing cold of the Plunge Pool, Bucket Splash and Ice Room (which is the most epic thing I’ve ever witnessed) before topping it all off with a stint in the delicious Aromatherapy room.

Over the two days I had a Decleor Armomassage which, for my first ever massage, was completely breathtaking, although I probably shouldn’t have talked throughout the whole experience; but I just didn’t know the ’etiquette’ of massage times; nevertheless, it’s a must for anyone who finds themselves offered this scented treat.

I also found time to get a Elemis Body Sculpting Cellulite And Colon Therapy, which, you’d be relieved to know, doesn’t involve sticking anything inside you or any jets of water, and if you have Sarah Walker delivering the treatment, you’re bound to enjoy it.

She’s possibly the nicest spa-based person I’ve ever met, and I instantly wanted to be her new best friend - it’s good when someone makes you feel so relaxed as you lay there in some flimsy paper pants. I mean let’s face it; it’s not exactly my best look. Although I didn’t really seem to feel any change within my body, the Fennel and Birch peel off mask was divine and my legs felt uber-fit afterwards.

What’s more, if you are lucky enough to spend the night you are in for a real treat as the spa owns a couple of the apartments which are built into the mill above the spa itself. Although I wouldn’t like to live in one (due to lack of space for an actual home) it is a truly clamours way to spend 24 hours and has to be the most elegant hotel room I’ve ever found myself in. although the fact that the apartments aren’t separated meant I (dressed in nothing more than a dressing gown had to share the lift with a man and his dog (and their very smelly black bin liner)

The food there is also a great surprise, as you’d expect to just be eating lettuce leaves and tomatoes, but the chef there manages to make healthy food so very appealing, and at the lunchtime buffet it’s almost impossible not to go back for second helpings of the tasty platter.

The evening meal was also mouth-wateringly good, and although the portion sizes aren’t as massive as in your local Wetherspoons on curry night, they are just as good, and by the end of the evening you’re really left feeling full and satisfied; there’s even the odd larger on the menu for you sneaky drinkers; and again, the waitress there was so lovely and friendly, you couldn’t help but worry you’re going to miss them when you go home - I suppose you get close to people who just see you in a dressing gown!

The only thing that let the place down for me had to be the reception staff, who I found very unapproachable, and who, after we told them twice what we had done over the course of our stay, still managed to charge us the wrong amount, and then send me a snooty email asking me to phone them and pay more money; despite it being their mistake.

One thing I must add also, is that some treatments are unsuitable for people with certain illnesses and whatnot, but one of the therapists there didn’t inform a fellow guest of this and performed a treatment on her that could affect cancer cells in her body. I know that it’s possibly unlikely, but surely it would be proper practice to sail on the side of caution on these matters?

Other than that, the Titanic Spa looks set to be the best place to spend your hard-earned cash this summer. Okay, so a couple of hundred pounds might get you a week in Benidorm, but why would you want to hang out with Jonny Vegas types when you can indulge yourself here?
